Jamie May Young, 46, of Amarillo, passed away on February 10, 2026, surrounded by her family after a major illness. She was born in Amarillo on May 17, 1979, to Lawson Lonzo Young Jr. and Rhonda (Clark) Young.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 22, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at Cowpunchers, 10501 N. US 287.

Jamie, born and raised in Amarillo, graduated from Palo Duro High School. She earned an associate’s degree in philosophy. Her greatest accomplishment and love was her son, Dakota. Her momma was her best friend. They often jumped in the car for many adventures. Jamie loved Jack Skellington and Sally, dolphins, and the color purple.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Ozell Lee Clark, Sr., and grandma, Emma Jean Clark; uncles, Ozell Lee Clark, Jr., Danny Lee Clark, Bobby Gene Clark, and Ricky Carl Clark; aunts, Winnie Sue Schaef, Sandra “Sam” Jean Stovall, Peggy Jo Schaef, and Anita Ruth Mohler, Chyerl Clark, Elaine Mae Clark, and Becky Jo Clark; and a beloved cousin, Jordan Kaylee Phillips.

Jamie is survived by her parents, Rhonda Clark Hogue and Lawson Lonzo Young, Jr.; a brother, Todd Young, and his son, Harley; a twin brother, Joshua Shaun Young, and wife, Sami; a niece, Jackie “Critter” Young, and partner, Corbin; nephews, Joshua David Young and Shaun Lee Young; great-niece, Catalina “Sparkplug” Maldonado; niece, Jessica Blanton; Aunt Kathy and Billy Jones; very dear friends, Nicole Spencer and William Lawler; and many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to Amarillo National Bank in the Benefit Account for Dakota Young.
