Jimmy Phillip Jones 73 was born to Noel and Nadine Jones on January 4, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jimmy peacefully passed away on February 26, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Amarillo.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, beginning at 1:00PM at 1201 Monroe (big blue house) in Borger Texas, hosted by granddaughter, Haley Williams and husband, Justin.

Jimmy began his career at a young age, working in the oil field and driving a truck for Leonard Hudson, drilling Company and G.P. Gwinn tank truck service. He was a dedicated worker and enjoyed what he did to provide for his family.

He was an amazing father to all four of his children. He gave us unconditional love, and was always their safe place to fall, knowing that he would encourage them to get back up and try again.

Jimmy loved living life to the fullest. He enjoyed reading books about history and collecting rare coins. His free spirit led him to enjoy everything outdoors. He loved camping with his family, always catching the fish to prepare for dinner at camp. He also loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles and muscle cars. Jimmy was always ready for a political debate being a true MAGA supporter. He gave unconditional love to his children and would give to anyone in need.

He suffered many years at home with COPD having family assistance. His health declined and required 24-hour care at Hillside Heights. After a few years, he went on hospice care on January 4, 2024. We were very fortunate that he had an amazing roommate the last two years, Steve Steger, who reinforced his faith in Jesus. We will forever be grateful to Steve, for being a vessel for God’s word that led Jimmy to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, wife and close friend, Debbie Goforth Jones, a brother Jay, and wife, Margaret Jones, and a niece, Christy Rubes.

Survivors include his sister Delores Allard and husband Lee, of Oklahoma City; daughter, Tanya Jones; son, Kevin Jones, and wife, Kim, all of Amarillo, Texas; daughters, Jennifer Jones and Melissa Graves of Borger; stepson, Colton, Smith, and wife Echo of Amarillo; grandchildren, Haley Williams, Cooper Jones, Ava Claire Jones, Oliver Bjorn Anderson, Colt Phillip Anderson, Liam Thompson, Jasper Dean Thompson and Emma Jones, and one great- grandson, Levi Jon- Ray Hawkins. He is also survived by a niece, Sherri Nowack and husband John, of Owasso, Ok., his former wife and close friend Tricia Smith, as well as many other friends and family.
