He was the best dad
I didn’t know Joel like a lot of people did. He was usually really shy around me. But he was very complimentary to me any time he saw me. My husband (Jerry Middleton) I know will miss Joel a lot. Rest in Peace Joel

So sad to hear of Joel’s passing.
He was always a good friend, kind, and nice to weird kiddo back in the day.
I’m devastated to hear it.
For his family, you know my brother better than me, but we all ran around together. I love Joel.
He was a good man.
Isaiah 55 says God’s thoughts are higher than ours. He has purposes we can’t comprehend.

I had no idea until now and it makes me very sad. Although we weren’t close friends, you don’t forget a guy like Joel. Well, there aren’t many like Joel, but still.
Never saw him without a smile. Even later in life, when we would randomly cross paths, Joel was never anything but a ball of smiling energy and his hugs were an event.
See ya buddy.
