He lived in Amarillo where he enjoyed working on his car and riding his Harley while jamming out to some Pink Floyd. He was very hard working and took pride in all his work. Joel may have had some struggles, but lived life to the fullest. He was a man of his word. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandpa. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and spoiling them. He would do anything for his family and friends. He made everyone who knew him laugh, cry, and clap at all the stories he shared. At times, he would even be the one to get people riled up. Our family is grateful to know that Joel is finally at peace and will miss him more than words can express.
He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny Galan and Tomasa, son Justin Sifuentez, and nephew Federico Villarreal.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Paula Galan of Amarillo; sons Charles Sifuentez and wife Laura of Houston, Michael Sifuentez of Amarillo, Joel Galan Jr. and wife Jessica of Amarillo, and nephew (son) Johnny Ray Garza and wife Eileen of San Jose, CA; his sisters Ninfa Molina Trevino of Robstown, Yolanda Galan of Corpus Christi and Lorine De La Garza and husband Johnny of Corpus Christi; his grandchildren, the loves of his life, Emyleigh and Kynleigh Stovall, Rylan and Karleigh Galan, Daesun Requenez, Alyssa Ruiz, Charles and Avery Sifuentez; nieces Crystal Linda Carrizales, Angela Ordonez, Nicole Villarreal; nephew Johnny Villarreal, and numerous other family and friends.
