John Randall Campbell, known affectionately to us all as John, began his remarkable journey on December 31, 1968, in the vibrant community of Carlsbad, New Mexico. His presence in our lives, though it ended on January 10, 2025, will never be dulled by the passage of time. As the great Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This quote could not be more fitting for John, whose charisma, kindness, and resilient spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

John was a man of extraordinary stature, not by the measure of height, but by the measure of character. His life was as rich as the oil fields he worked in; a testament to hard work, perseverance, and the sheer joy of living. John’s laughter was infectious, his tales captivating, and his love for life was reflected in his sparkling eyes. He was at once a stalwart figure and a comforting presence, a man who understood the true value of the bonds of family and friendship. He is survived by his devoted parents, Carol Bryan and Robert Campbell, who cherish the memory of their beloved son. John was preceded in death by his dear sibling, Charlie Campbell, who he now joins in eternal peace.

In the words of Helen Keller, “What we have once enjoyed we can never lose; all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” John Campbell will forever be a part of us, living on in our hearts and memories.
