Johnny Doran of Amarillo, TX entered into rest August 6, 2024. He was born in Amarillo, Texas on December 27, 1952, to Royce and Rosetta Carolina (Bull) Doran.

A Memorial Service with Fireman’s Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., in Amarillo.

Johnny loved going fishing at the lake and traveling. He enjoyed watching western movies, as well as Sunday morning breakfasts with friends. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids, he made sure to show up for them. He never missed any of their sports events, especially the wrestling matches. Johnny retired from the Amarillo Fire Department after serving for 27 years.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Royce and Rosetta Carolina (Bull) Doran; his brother Gerald Doran; a sister, Kathy Murphy both of Amarillo, Texas, and his uncle and aunt who helped raise him, R.W. and Virginia Bull.

He is survived by his son Karl Doran of Amarillo, Texas; his grandkids Colton and Cooper Doran of Amarillo; his siblings, Denzel Doran of Waco, Texas, Roy Duran of Amarillo, Texas, Jenny Doran of Beaumont, Texas, and Julie Fagnant of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is also survived by several cousins, and other family members.
