Juan “Johnny” R. Aranda, born on March 6, 1950, in San Benito, Texas, passed on November 12, 2025. He was a man of great spirit and resilience, a beacon of laughter and reliability in the lives of those he held dear. His vibrant personality brought warmth to the chilly winters of Amarillo, Texas, where he grew up. Juan spent his professional life as a salesman, becoming a beloved vendor of Frito Lay. His relentless dedication to his work was only surpassed by his commitment to making sure his loved ones were always taken care of.
Juan was a man of great faith, his knowledge of the Bible was vast, and he shared God’s word with everyone. He lived by the verse from Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This verse embodied his spirit of resilience and his unwavering faith. Juan had a unique way of combining his passions. He was a huge Cowboys fan, painting his home Cowboy blue and proudly displaying a big star sticker on the hood of his car. His love for Steven Segal movies was equally fervent, adding a layer of fun and excitement to his personality.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Aranda and Maria Rodriguez. He is survived by his sisters Maria Flores, Dulia Perez and brother Pedro Aranda; his sons Steve, Andrew, Jason, and Juan Jr. Aranda; his cherished grandchildren Cori, Isiss, Raylen, Rachel, Joby, Dillon, Jason, Pauline, Stephen and Ethan, and a great grandkid Jonah.
Juan was more than just a devoted family man, a reliable friend, and a spirited Cowboys fan. He was a funny storyteller, a repository of wisdom, and a beacon of resilience. His life was a testament to his belief in taking care of others and living life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed.

I will miss my brother and fellowship. A man that believes God with all his heart. I used to tell him every time I visit him we are not the victim in Christ but the Victor. Greater Christ in us then he who is in the world. He rejoiced greatly and them we pray for our needs. I will miss my brother a lot. Use to visit him cry together but rejoice greatly in our Lord Jesus Christ. A man with great conviction about his God. And believe his God every word he spoke in the Bible
