Juliana Serna, 86, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away December 3, 2025. She was born January 7, 1939, in Colorado City, Texas, to Pablo Bonilla and Juana Lujan Bonilla.
Juliana loved growing plants, sewing, and baking. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing, but her absolute favorite pastimes were scratch-offs and slots.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Juana Lujan Bonilla; her husband, Andrew Serna; her sister, Ramona Gomez; her son, Luis Martinez; her daughter, Vickie Martinez Flores; her grandson, Mark Martinez, and great-grandson, Daniel Martinez.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Gilbert and Joe Martinez; her daughter, Mary Medina; her brother, Pablo Bonilla; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Funeral Home Chapel, 3707 Wolflin Ave, Amarillo, Texas, 79102. A funeral service will follow the next day, December 8, at 12:00 noon.
My tia gave everyone a chance in life and helped everyone she had a big heart and loved all her family and friends

My grandma was a strong and amazing woman she never held back her opinions told you exactly what she thought good or bad. She loved all of us and nursed us back to health when we’d get sick. I remember her making Menudo for all of us every new years and she made the best empanadas . She will truly be missed love you grandma ❤️❤️.
To my Grandma . You were always there an I thank you for that. … You always use to tell in Spanish . When you gonna talk to me in Spanish . An I would tell u in English. Quando tu abla n Ingles….. I love you …..
My Tia Juliana was fun. She was funny and good hearted. She was always making us laugh. We were always excited to see her when she came down to California to visit. She was a good Tia. One of the best, I will miss her so much. Thank you Tia for the good memories and for always loving us unconditionally. I love you and will always carry you in my heart.
