Ka Douangdara, 83, of Amarillo, passed away on June 6, 2025. He was born in Laos on January 10, 1942.

He was a kind man who loved his family. “We will always remember when you had your moments. When you wanted to relax, you would turn the tv on and put in your cassettes or CDs. You always liked to listen to Lao/Thai music, having everyone, all the grandkids, great grandkids in the house dancing along. Even if we didn’t know how, you would teach us how. You will always be remembered.”

He was preceded in death by one stepson.  Ka is survived by one son, Anyi Douangdara, three stepdaughters, 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo.
