Keaton Allen Kirton, 16, left this world too soon on December 13, 2025. He was born in Amarillo on July 14, 2009. Keaton was a surprise from the very beginning, and he stole our hearts immediately. Keaton and his dad, George, were inseparable; his circle grew as well as their hearts when his sister, Ivory, arrived, and again when Christi joined them.
While Keaton struggled in school, he thrived in enjoying life—playing video games, going on adventures with friends, dreaming, tinkering on projects; he even dabbled in cooking in the kitchen. He was thinking about attending culinary school. We love you and miss you, Keaton.
He is survived by his parents, George and Christi; his sister, Ivory, and many mother figures; his grandparents, Richard and Rozella Kirton; aunts and uncles, Benjamin Kirton and wife Ella, Wesley Kirton and wife Stacy, Denise Fields and husband Keith; and cousins, Jamison Kirton and Nathan Kirton.
In lieu of flowers, the family would sincerely appreciate any donations toward Keaton‘s services. You can either give cash or a check directly to Lighthouse Funeral Home or send it electronically to George’s Cash App, Cash App name: $AK12e.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00-7:30 p.m. this Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, at Pray Amarillo, 4000 SW 50th Ave., Amarillo. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery East.

We are truly at loss for words. Sorry isn’t enough. Our son Garrett loved him and we will help keep his memory alive. Your family is in our thoughts.
While we where in Spanish he never really did anything copy maybe but whenever it came to drawing in the class that he would do great he was one of the nicest people I had ever met and even if you made him mad he would always forgive you.
I remember when Me, Keaton, and Ryan spent the night at Ryan’s and he made us burgers that were good mine was just not cooked all the way but I still ate it because of how good it was and Ryan’s was cooked how he wanted it and we all would be laughing in Ryan’s room about my burger
I will forever miss you Keaton and will always keep you in my heart and I will look out for Ryan and make sure he doesn’t do dumb things
I will miss you from school I will pray for the family so sorry for your loss River Road High School will always miss you
you were my best friend. 3rd grade to 6th till I moved. I wouldn’t ever change it for the world tho. I’ll miss you forever and you’ll forever be my favorite boy ever.
My heartfelt condolences to family, friends and loved ones. I taught Keaton his freshman year and it was a pleasure to be his teacher. He was a kind, gracious kid. It always meant a lot to me that he would still stop by my class just to say hi even though I wasn’t his teacher anymore. He will be deeply missed in my classroom.
I will miss you from class and school, river road high school will always miss you and not forget about your memories in class and from school and projects.
Keaton was one of the kindest souls. I so enjoyed having him in class and will miss his humor and his smile. I’m so grateful for the time I got to have with him in my classes and we will honor his memory. He left an imprint and will always be remembered by many of his teachers and classmates.
I remember this time when Keaton and Shelby got in a fight over a salad and the arguing about my salad for hours and after they thought this is so dumb and start laughing after
I used to be freinds with keaton in middle school. After he moved away we stopped talking. He was great when we were freinds. I feel sorry for the family.
I will never forget his smile and his goofy jokes he was the light in my life I only wish I could turn back time and do things differently ask more questions go on more dates hug him more he was so strong and always tried his hardest to make others happy even when he wasn’t he was the greatest man in the world and I’m so happy to have been allowed to be apart of his life I will never stop loving and missing him
I remember when we started dating in summer and every day was an adventure and I remember how sweet he was even in the worst moment even if we fought we always found a way to resolve it within 10 mins he was never shy with me but always worried about me always caring and there was never a dull conversation weather his eyes light up talking about some goofy thing like a bacon cheese burger or letting me talk for hours he was the best thing that ever happened to me
While I didn’t know Keaton for a very long time for the time that I knew him he was unbelievably kind to me, the guy you could always count on. Now that he’s gone I wonder who will fill the emptiness that follows, the missing smile in the hallway I so desperately needed sometimes. He will forever be in his friends hearts we miss him so much. We may have seen like we didn’t talk much but the most meaningful conversations I’ve ever had came from him, his point of view never failed to amaze me. Even though he’s left our grasp he’s finally at peace and I guess that makes this a whole lot easier my condolences to the family. I hope I could do more for you
You’ll be in our hearts forever thank you for being the light of so many people’s live’s buddy.
He was more than just a good friend, he was like an older brother to me, and he was an amazing one at that, not just to me but to his sister too. I remember all the walks we would go on and all of our endless conversations, he was one of the best people you could have ever met.
Although I never really knew Keaton I always saw his wonderful smile in Mrs Denton’s class and he was always making jokes like the class clown he always was we will miss him dearly so sorry for the family and friends who knew him loss.
Keton was a very good friend of mine,we used to date freshman year he was a really sweet person with a big heart and even tho we didnt talk that much after we broke up I still thought about him and hoped that he was doing ok.
I will miss him very much.
It hurt seeing that you pass Keaton.. You were so close to me and Wyatt back in middle school until you moved high schools. Your were such a silly and happy person you always made me laugh when we would talk about calling then you would fall asleep before we even got the chance to call. You were so happy when you would be around me and this just hit me hard.
Keaton will truly be missed here at River Road High School. He was such a sweet caring person. I wish we had more students like him. I am praying for the family and friends for peace.
