Kenneth Charles Horton, lovingly known to friends and family as “Kenny Man,” went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 5, 2025. While his passing leaves an empty space here on earth, we rejoice in the certainty of his joyful reunion in Heaven.

A proud native of Amarillo, Texas, Kenny recently returned to his hometown after retiring from a long and dedicated career as a long-haul truck driver. He spent his final working years with Brian Dreher Trucking in Campbellsport, Wisconsin, and often joked that after retirement he might become a part-time Uber driver—just for fun.

Kenny served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps and remained one of the most passionate and patriotic veterans you could ever meet. His service shaped much of who he was: loyal, bold, and fiercely committed to truth and integrity.

Throughout his life, Kenny built deep and lasting friendships; from his early years in Amarillo to his time in the Marines, and in every city and state his life and work took him. His faith in Jesus Christ was central to who he was. He was a devout Christian who wasn’t afraid to speak the truth, even when it wasn’t popular. He stood firm in his beliefs, loved deeply, laughed loudly, and brought joy to those around him with his unmatched sense of humor.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Marie Lindow, Charles Horton, and Stepfather Richard “Pops” Lindow; and by his brothers, Jerri Horton, Danny Horton, and David Horton.

He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Gregory (Tal) and Lacey Jellison (Bob); his nieces, Reazy Horton and Alicia Horton; his nephew, Charlie Horton (Britney); four grandchildren and five great nieces and nephews. Each of them carries a piece of his heart and legacy.

He will be dearly missed by many; his family, friends, and everyone blessed to know him. But for those who truly knew his heart, there is peace in knowing that he is now home, in the eternal presence of God and reunited with loved ones who went before him.
