Kerri Anissa Shubert

Kerri Anissa Shubert, 54, of Amarillo, passed away on October 28, 2021.

Celebration of Life will take place Saturday October 30th at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church (3208 S. Van Buren Amarillo, TX 79109)

Kerri was born on July 22, 1967 to Patsy and Jim Shubert in Amarillo, Tx. She was a Tascosa High School graduate, class of 1985.  She later moved to Frisco, TX and resided there for 18 years.

Kerri was a beloved counselor who guided countless people through addiction recovery. She made all of her clients feel seen, understood, and loved. She truly loved and cared for everyone she came in contact with and had a gift of making you feel that way.

Kerri was welcomed into the family of her cousin Todd and his wife Rhonda. Kerri loved their three children, Zach, Nathan and Abby as her own.

While in middle school, she met her long time best friend and partner-in-crime Sheila (Roan) Sims.

Kerri was proceeded in death by her father, Jim Shubert and brother, Randy Shubert

She is survived by her mother, Patsy Carnes of Amarillo; sister, Tammy Sexton and husband Randy of Richardson; brother, David Shubert and wife Judy of Celeste; niece, Krista Robbins and husband John of Wylie; nephews Bryan Sexton and wife Carolyn of Dallas; Jason Shubert and wife Ashlyn of Amarillo; Chad Shubert and wife Lynnae of Amarillo; Longtime friend Heather Mendoza of Amarillo; 8 great nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and her beloved dog Danny.
