Laura J. Kuzma 1942-2022
Laura passed away at Covenant Medical Center Lubbock, Texas on December 21, 2022.
Born on November 24,1942, to Arthur (Slick) Langley and Elouise Wright.
She is survived by her Sister’s Annette and Janie Langley, Son Joel and (wife) Sharon (Missie) Poe. Granddaughter’s Paige Poe, Desiree, and Grandson Ryan Jarrell.
Nephews Dwayne, Carl and Jerry Laza, Niece’s Denise, (McWhinney) Harris &, (husband) Eddie Harris, Molly Bata and several other Niece’s and Nephew’s.
Preceded by her Parents, Brother Benjamin (Benny) Langley, Son’s David and Dean Poe and Nephew Patrick McWhinney.
Laura was a Retail/Buyer/Purchasing Agent employed as a Government Contractor located on Andros Island, Bahamas from 1988 until retirement on 2005. She was a true profession demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and being ambitious and hard driving and retiring on her own terms. She was a companion to some a mentor to others and friend to all.
We were so saddened to hear from Ernie about Laura’s passing, even though we were aware that she hadn’t been well for a few years. We knew Laura at AUTEC where people all talked and waved to each other. Laura was nice, quiet, easy to chat with at any time. We simply liked her.
My sincere condolences to Ernie. May God support you during these sorrows times. May she rest in peace. I remember her nice smile when I was going in the AUTEC Retail Store. She always have cheering words. She will be missed.
Very sad to hear of this. I’d had this odd feeling the last week or so about her & I Googled her name while ago. This was at the top of the page. We’re going to miss her,even though I hadn’t really seen her much the last few years? I also didn’t know David Sr had passed,either? Had I known,I’d’ve tried to send flowers. May still try if not too late.
