Lawana Oliver, born October 17, 1937, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.
Lawana was a woman who radiated warmth and kindness, and she was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a zest for life, finding joy in the simple yet meaningful pleasures. She treasured weekend road trips with her husband, Tony, often seeking adventure or a bit of luck at the casino. A gifted cook, she had a knack for bringing people together around her table with meals that nourished both the body and the soul. Her passion for playing cards often filled her home with laughter and friendly competition.
Her family will forever cherish the moments they spent together—laughing, loving, and creating memories that will live on in their hearts. Lawana’s legacy is one of love, strength, and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lawana was preceded in death by her father, Bill Oliver; her mother, Irene Grove; her sisters, Billie Ott, Mickey Smith, and Kathy Oliver; and her beloved daughter, Stacie Stout.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her surviving family: her two sons, Dale Stout and his wife Zan, and Jeffrey Stout and his wife Amanda; her daughter Connie Davis and her husband Darrell. She also adored her grandchildren, and great grandchildren each of whom held a special place in her heart.
A celebration of her life will be announced by the family in the coming days, as they honor the beautiful person she was and the wonderful life she led.
My husband loved his mom so very much as did our son and myself. She was a special lady. Great sense of humor and filled with laughter.
