Lisa Casey

Lisa Casey, 53, of Amarillo, went to her heavenly home on December 26, 2021, with loved ones by her side.

Lisa never met a person she didn’t call a friend because she easily found a place in all our hearts. She participated in The Special Olympics and spent many years actively singing in her church choir. She liked to have fun and ride on the back of a Harley on summer days. She reminded us all that it is possible to live a life being pure of heart. Lisa was an angel living among us and we thank God for the time he let us enjoy her. She is reunited with her mother, and we will one day get to see her again. Until then, let us celebrate her life and remember all of the good memories she gave us.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Merritt Sue (Renfroe) Casey (2006), and one brother, Travis Casey, (2017).

Lisa is survived by her father, Robert Casey and wife Chris; two brothers, Dean Casey and wife Kristen, and Mike Casey; one sister, Debra McMillan and husband Brian; several nieces and nephews, Tiffany Casey, Seth Casey, Magen Clements Courtney Solano, Erica Solano, Brian, and Dianna McMillan; great-nieces and nephews, Annabella and Lillyanna Forrest, Uziah, Isabella, and Jaxson.

I was so blessed to have her as my little sister. There are so many lessons she thought me throughout our lifetime together. She has been with me and Dean over the last 16 years and missed as if she was our own child. I know she is with our mom now and she is happy. Taking care of us now. I love you Lisa!!

Lisa was a true gentle spirit. She knew she was loved & she knew how to show love in return. I know she will be missed. My prayer is for peace and comfort for her family until we all see her again.

We have so many great memories with Lisa. She was fun, mischievous, and adventurous. Lisa lived her life to the fullest. She often went to the lake with us, came over and hung out in our hot tub, showed us her karate tricks or new video games. She went on a poker run with us and was the life of the party. We were blessed to have Lisa in our life.

My aunt Lisa loved to tell me how little I was when I was a baby and how she got to give me a bath in the sink. She told me that story every time I would see her. I liked watching her bowl when I was little and I have a picture she gave me of her dressed to sing in the choir. I have always been so proud that she is my aunt. I’m thankful for the lessons she taught me. I am always going to miss her but I know she will be watching over us.

    To the Casey, Mcmillian family,
I knew Lisa when she lived in Valley de Oro several years ago. Lisa was always smiling and always wanted to jump on the trampoline.
She had a thing for badges.
Sue and Lisa would come and visit us at the Foshee house and Dad would get ready work and couldn’t find his badge. He thought for awhile and remembered Lisa was here earlier. He never got mad he just went to Lisa’s house and she always knew why Dad was there. She always told Dad she was taking care and shining his badge. The Casey family was great friends.
Lisa you will be truly missed by all who loved you.
    FLY HIGH SWEET ANGEL.
I will see you again one day..

Lisa Rae was woven into the fabric of my being and is responsible for who and how I am today, she was to me the appearance of Gods nature loving everyone unconditionally with full genuine compassion it did not matter where you were in life she would always bring a smile to your face, she loved to ride on the back of my bike and would say man I love this throwing her love signs to everyone that passed by just enjoying life, when we went somewhere she would try to meet everyone saying hi sir or hi mam, if she talked to you it was always the same with my name is Lisa Rae Casey (Omen/Benatar) my birthday is October 19, 1968 and this is my brother Robert Dean Casey / I love him so much, it always warmed my heart that she was so proud to be with her brother, she was big on birthdays and it would be a month celebration in advance if I wasn’t there she would call and sing to me, she always added a touch of herself at the end like your in my heart forever but would not fail to let you know just how old you were saying laughingly old man, she would go thru my stuff and take things here and there, later I would find her with it and say Lisa that’s mine, her reply was always the same (well I keep it for you) you want it back, I am so sorry, she would wet her hair and slick it back wash her face turn to me and say baby how do I look I’d say fabulous, it did not take much to make her happy, she just simply enjoyed life as we all should, I love you with all that is in me and my heart is full of the glorious memories you have left me with I will forever cherish each and every one, I love you my precious baby sister and can not wait to see you again but until then peace out baby

Very few people have had the honor of knowing such a kind soul. Lisa was one of the most lovable and optimistic people you could ever meet. She would always greet you with a smile, hug, and if you where lucky, a demonstration of the “Karate Kids” famous kick. She loved her family and her animals and could light up a room with her wonderful smile. I was sorry to her of her passing. My condolences to all who love her, especially her family. I will miss seeing you when I visit Lisa, but know that I smile at the thought of you and your mom reuniting. Rest in peace
