Linda Jewel Crabtree, 72, of Amarillo, passed away on September 10, 2025. She was born on May 16, 1953, to Johnny LaSalle and Cora Ann LaSalle.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, at the same location.
“My grandmother Linda Jewel Crabtree was a quiet presence, but when she spoke, you listened, because every word carried wisdom, honesty, and heart. She didn’t need to raise her voice to make an impact; her strength came through in her steady support, her sharp sense of right and wrong, and the way she stood by her beliefs.
She was deeply loving through her actions more than her words. In many ways I feel like she lives inside me. My grandmother Linda always spoke her mind and behind the quietness she did have a big voice. She loved the hardest and fought a long, strong battle. She always had to have her lottery tickets, cigar, and some Church’s Chicken, and she loved playing her occasional bingo. Grandmother was a wise, Godly woman up under her thick skin. She didn’t always know how to speak her love for others, but it definitely showed. She loved her family dearly. She will be missed and cherished in our hearts forever. Until we meet again.”
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Cora Ann LaSalle, and Johnny LaSalle, Sr.; her sisters Zelma Lee Ray, and Evolda Ray; her brothers Henry Ray Jr., Welson Ray, and Johnny LaSalle, Jr.; a son Christopher Michael LaSalle, and a grandson Alonzo Keith Miller, II.
Survivors include her brother, Lonnie Ray Sr.; sons Lorenzo Keith LaSalle, and Alonzo Keith Miller I, and grandkids Ashley Miller, Aaliyah Miller, Ariel Miller, Desiree Kosler.
I knew Ms Linda well from bingo so sorry to hear she’s gone… sending My Thoughts and Prayers to the Family…Rest In Paradise Ms Linda.
