Louisa Martínez, 83, of Amarillo, passed away on October 30, 2025. She was born in Hadley Texas on January 31,1942 to Luis and Estella (Maestas) Fajardo.
She was the third child of 13! Louisa was known as the “Greatest Beautician” to family and friends. She taught her children and grandchildren how to fish.
A matriarch who planted the seed of faith in God to all her family, she taught everyone that she loved how to pray and stand on the Word of God. She was a woman of great faith, and she was always ready to pray for someone.
Louisa was a beautiful woman inside and out. She spoke wisdom, and would speak truth to you, whether you were right or wrong in the most loving way. She was stern, strong, and would stand tall. Louisa was an example of how to be a woman of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luis, and Estella Fajardo; her brothers, Louie, and Joe “Pipo”; one sister, Alice Villalovos; a grandson, Eric Jesse Martínez, and one great-grandson, Eric Elijah Grinie.
Louisa is lovingly survived by her sons Louis Martinez and wife Bea, Michael Martinez and wife Mary Lou; daughters, Lorraine Puentes, Donna Flores and husband, Pedro, and Michelle Preciado and husband, Michael; five sisters, Nora Salazar, Gloria Fajardo, Barbara Fajardo, Yolanda Deanda and husband George, Flora Gaitán and husband Roger; one brother, Paul Fajardo and wife Juana. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She adored all of them, and they were all so special to her.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at New Life Outreach Ministries, 406 Pittsburg Street, Amarillo, Texas.

Louisa will be truly missed. She use to cut my mom’s hair in the 70’s then she went on to cut my hair growing up,she was always so nice to me. My prayers to the family. 🙏🏼❤️ Dimitri jr. sends his prayers too.
