Manuel Octavio Juarez-Contreras, 44, of Amarillo, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born in Mexico on July 17, 1981.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 2300 N. Spring St., Amarillo.
Manuel loved fishing and spending quality time with friends and family. He was a loving, giving, kind soul who would do anything for those he loved. His goal was to make others smile. No matter the circumstances, he wanted everyone to be happy and to love one another.
He was preceded in death by his father, Librado Juarez; his paternal grandparents, Pedro Juarez and Maria del Refugio Juarez; and his maternal grandparents, Jesus Antonio Contreras and Berta Nunez.
Survivors include his mother, Juana Contreras; his daughter, Gloria Juarez; his siblings, Juan Juarez, Jose Juarez, Marcos Juarez, and Maria Juarez. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

I met Manuel when I was 13. He was always making everybody laugh. Always helping people. He was a hard worker. I’m glad we got to talk and laugh the day before he passed. Miss u, Manwell ❤️🙏🏼thank u for all the memories
