Manuela “Nellie” Gonzales, 96, of Amarillo passed away on July 29, 2025. She was born in Mission, Texas on January 5, 1929, to Froylan and Romanita (Coronado) Reyna. She had eleven siblings.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at The Loft Church, 4400 S. Georgia St., Amarillo, Texas.

In 1953, Mr. Reyna and his wife Romanita, moved to Hart, Texas, to settle and continued to raise their family of 12. There they had a small business of refreshments-cold cokes, baked goods.

Nellie married David Gonzales, March 13,1999, where they made their life together in Hart, Texas for 45 years. They moved to Amarillo in 2010.

Nellie was preceded by death by her husband, and her children, Diana Gutierrez, Dahlia Hurtado, Joel, Israel and Ismael Gutierrez, and Elias Gutierrez, Sr., and six siblings.

She is survived by her children, Phillip Gutierrez of Denver, Colorado, Oralia Tenorio of Hart, Texas, Rosemary Gutierrez of Amarillo, Texas, Irene Hampton of Greenville, South Carolina, Gloria Longoria of Stephenville, Texas, and Olivia Lill of Amarillo Texas. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother, all of Hart, Texas. Nellie had the blessing of many grandchildren into a fifth generation during her lifetime. She is survived by 25 grandchildren, 67, great-grandchildren, and 35 great-great grandchildren. AMEN!!
