Maria Oralia Mora, 100, of Amarillo, passed away on February 22, 2026. She was born in Matamoros, Mexico, on August 11, 1925, to Felix Covarrubias and Maria Zepeda.
She loved reading the Bible, taking short walks, chatting on the phone with family and friends, and spending time with her grandkids.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Mora; her sons, Noe Mora and Policarpio Mora; and her daughter, Consuelo Mora Porras.
She is survived by her sons, Jim Mora and wife (Maria’s special daughter-in-law) Maryann, and Max Mora and wife Sally; her daughter, Hope Hill, and husband, Jerry; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a handful of great-great-grandchildren.
