Marion “David” Beckham

Marion David Beckham, affectionately known as David, was born on October 3, 1946, in Longview, Washington, and passed away on February 25, 2026, at his daughter’s home in Amarillo, Texas. He was 79 years old.

David spent his early years in Oregon with his parents, Josephine and Villard Beckham, and his eight siblings. During his youth, he worked on the family’s mink farm. As a young man, he relocated to Texas and dedicated 35 years of service to Miller Brewing in Fort Worth.

David will be fondly remembered by those who knew him for his wicked sense of humor, love of practical jokes, and unconditional love as a father and grandfather. He had a passion for woodworking and singing, and he was a voracious reader.

David was previously married to Dianna Beckham, who remains a cherished part of the extended family. He was preceded in death by his siblings Cole Beckham, Patricia Bee, Daryl Tice, and Katherine Lusby. He is survived by his siblings Frances Miller, James Beckham, Jean Nagy-Cochran, and Denise Botting; his children, Elizabeth Beckham, Dylan Beckham, Cathie Cook Godden, Meghan Kiernan, and Tara Faggion; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
