Mark James Boyce, 65, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025. Born on March 28, 1960, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Robert and Peggy (Elrod) Boyce, Mark was the youngest of four brothers and a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend.

Mark’s life was defined by his deep love for God, family, and friends. He graduated from Hirschi High School and went on to serve with the Wichita Falls Fire Department for 15 years. In his later years, the Hope Center Ministry, his faith, and the many wonderful friendships he formed brought him great joy and fulfillment—making those years some of the best of his life.

He is survived by his daughter Hanna Boyce and her husband Kyle Deese of Lubbock, his son Rory Boyce and his wife Ashley of Wichita Falls. He found immense joy in being a grandfather to Oliver Boyce, Carson Boyce, and Brooklyn Deese, and cherished every moment spent with them. His brother Robert Boyce and wife Karla and brother David Boyce.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert H Boyce, Peggy Boyce and brother Jeffery Boyce.

Mark was known for his warm heart and open spirit—he never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether offering words of encouragement or sharing a laugh, he brought light and kindness wherever he went. His presence left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Mark will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Compassion Church, 2014 Kemp Blvd, Wichita Falls, TX 76309. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those wishing to honor Mark’s memory to make donations to Hope Center Ministries- Wichita Falls.
