Mary Catherine Beck Clark

Mary Catherine Beck Clark went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 2,2023 after a short battle with cancer.

A private family celebration of life will be held Monday at First Baptist Church original building, with Corky Holland officiating.

Mary was born on April 7,1944 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Kessel and Florence Taylor. Several years later her family moved to California where she attended St Paul High School. She married Joseph Beck in 1962 and began raising her family in Diamond Bar, Ca., where she was involved in mission work with their church, neighborhood bible studies, and volunteer work for special needs children. They moved to Canyon, Texas in 1979.

Mary worked for Amarillo Independent School district for 25 years as a special education paraprofessional. She very much enjoyed working with children who had special needs over the years and often commented that she received so much joy from them. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and she would get a child -like excitement surrounding every holiday, especially Christmas. She always made goodie baskets and dropped them off at local fire stations to thank them for their service during the holidays. She was the queen of greeting cards. If there was a holiday, you got a card. She was loved and will be dearly missed.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Cindy Beck.

She is survived by her son, Steve Beck; her daughter, Sandy Mosier and husband Rod; grandchildren Tiffany Russell and husband Jarod, Robin Mosier, Michael Mosier, Cassidy Beck, Stephen Edmondson; her sister Lynn and husband Tom, and four great-grandchildren, Tayln, Natalie, Nathaniel, and Alysson.

Thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at NWTH for their excellent, compassionate care.
