Mary J. Chiles was born January 08,1963 in Lubbock, Texas to Leroy Chiles, Jr. and Annie Mae White. She peacefully departed this life October 10, 2024, at her son’s home with him and Alicia Navarette by her side.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her grandparents, as well as her brother David Chiles.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory two sons Gregory Tahran Chiles (Alicia), Bobby Ray Chiles, Jr. (Erica)and a special son David Star; one daughter, Vanessa Rochelle Chiles.  Mary leaves behind three sisters, Brenda Witherspoon (Roosevelt) of Lubbock, Texas, Ruthie White of Amarillo Texas, and Patricia Cooks-Simmons (Robert) of Lubbock, Texas, and her baby brother Robert Cooks also of Lubbock, Texas. She loved her grandchildren, Clement Willis, Alexis, Tony, Bella, Amaia, Aspen, DeTreavien, Kierra, Bre and Alaya Chiles.  Her memory will also be cherished by a host or relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held in Amarillo at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Llano Cemetery East (corner of 34th and Arthur.)
