Max McAlister, 72, of Amarillo passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025.  He was born in Plainview Texas on January 19, 1953, to Noland and Dorothea (Pierce) McAlister.

Max married D’Adiere Vanderford on September 9, 1978. They enjoyed 48 years together prior to his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Carol, and her husband O’Neal Hightower.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, D’Adiere McAlister of Amarillo; a sister, Janise Stephens of Ada, Oklahoma; a cousin, Sandra Mulholla of Florida, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Memorial Service celebrating Max’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 4800 Journey Street, Amarillo, Texas.
