Maxine Warren Williams, 86, of Amarillo passed away on March 20, 2025. She was born in Floydada, Texas on November 25, 1938, to Ebb and Jessie Mae (Carter) Warren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo.
She was a sweet, kind, caring and loving woman, and a fantastic mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was lovingly referred to as Gram or Grams. Maxine worked for Robert E. Lee Elementary, Tascosa High School, but her favorite job was at P.A.S.O. (Panhandle Aids Support Organization) where she worked for twenty-plus years until her retirement. She worked the front desk and found such joy in being able to serve each family she met.
Maxine loved the Lord. She found joy in posting and sending Bible quotes and sweet messages. Maxine loved to read and play Word Trip on her Kindle. She lived a long, wonderful life. She was and forever will be loved deeply and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ebb and Jessie Warren; a son, Robert Lann; a daughter, Carole Sparks; two brothers, Virgil and Dennis Warren, and a sister, Jane Graham.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Russell Lann; two daughters, Lori White and Deborah Pace and husband Jason; a sister, Jean Adams; grandkids, Joe Hernandez, Laci Pace, Farahh McMillan, Kasi Grappe, Amber White, and Derek Lann; nine great-grandkids; a son-in-law, Corwin Sparks, and many nieces and nephews.

Maxine was always kind when I came for an appointment, and then having the opportunity to work with her for a few years, was a joy to get to know her better.
