Melinda “Wendy” Gail Williams, 71, of Amarillo passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024.  She was born in Amarillo on April 20, 1953, to Bill and Jacque Edwards.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, Texas.

Wendy was a wonderful artist, a pool shark, and an avid reader. She loved to water ski in her younger days, and she was an animal lover. She worked for the post office in White Deer for many years and retired from there.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jacque Edwards; a sister, Cynda Elder, and her husband of 32 years, Frank Houston.

Her memory will live on through her brother, Phil Edwards and wife Denise of Amarillo; her son, Kristoffer Williams of Lubbock; her granddaughter, Serenity Williams of Midland, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Wendy was one of a kind, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, you may donate in her name to Texas Oncology or the Humane Society.
