Melissa Anne Halter

Melissa Anne Halter was born on June 2nd, 1973 in Irving, Texas to Donna and James Ohlweiler. She married William Lee Halter on August 4th, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She died on May 27th, 2020 in Lewisville, Texas.

She is survived by her husband and his family, parents, and brother James Christopher Ohlweiler and his family.

She graduated from South Grand Prairie High, where she was an officer of the Chey-Annes (Dance/Drill team). She was a UT Arlington 1998 graduate.

A life long animal lover with a charitable heart, she was a regular volunteer with Operation Kindness and Pug Rescue. She often rescued lost or stranded animals and made sure that they found their way to the appropriate rescue societies.

Melissa loved and studied arts and channeled that passion into creating amazing crafts: handmade cards, hairbands, tutus. She had fun and a well-reviewed store on Etsy and frequently donated proceeds of her sales to the Pug Rescue. She made the most adorable gifts for her cherished nieces who love her very much.
