Michael Victor Bustoz, 49, of Amarillo, passed away on May 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. A native of Amarillo, he was born on June 2, 1976, to Segundo and Angela (Saldivar) Bustoz.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Primera Iglesia Bautista, 1701 S. Houston, in Amarillo, under the direction of Lighthouse Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery East.

Michael worked at Excel as a meter reader for many years until his health caused him to retire. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his mother and sister. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Michael was a reader who enjoyed stories about Bigfoot and werewolves. He was a “foodie” who enjoyed what he ate and often asked his friends or family what they had eaten! He enjoyed all kinds of music. Michael always loved animals more than people.

He was preceded in death by his father, Segundo Bustoz.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Angela Bustoz; sister, Bertha Hernandez, and husband, Henry; a brother, Joe Bustoz, and wife, Elida; five nephews; one niece; 13 great-nephews; and a host of dear friends and family.
