Mickel “Mike” Meeves, 73, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. He was born on January 14, 1952, in Amarillo.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Lighthouse Funeral Home Chapel with Military Honors at the chapel. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery. Military Honors are provided by Volleys for Veterans and the Patriot Guard Riders.

Mike loved his motorcycle. He enjoyed working on cars, watching old classic movies, and loved cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. He was a humble man who proudly served his Country in the Air Force. Mike was able to see and experience life through his service in the Military and he was always thankful for that. His family will miss him so much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ford and Lola Mae Lester, and his siblings, Jesse Ford Lester and Patricia Ann Romero.

Left to cherish Mike’s memory are his beloved wife, Zana Meeves; his children, Misty Dawn Meeves and husband Cassius Rivers, Jennifer R. Wilson, Jessie Mae Meeves, and Demorian “Dee” Mickel Wilson; his stepson, Erich Scott Bobbitt; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many extended family and great friends.
