Migel “Mike” Fabela of Tulia, Texas, passed away on August 12, 2024. He was born in Lamesa, Texas, on August 7, 1951, to Soilo Fabela and Isabell (Gonzales) Fabela.

A service will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at Centerpointe Church in Muleshoe, Texas.

Mike attended and graduated high school in Muleshoe, Texas. From 1970 to 1973 he proudly served his country in the Air Force. Years later he found his soul mate Josephine “Josie” Contreras and they married on December 31, 1991. They had two beautiful children David and Jessica. Mike was a funny man, always making jokes and lighting up the room with laughter. Throughout his life he collected ceramic clown figurines. He loved spending time with family and friends but especially with his grandkids.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Soilo Sr. and Isabell (Gonzales) Fabela; his wife, Josephine, and his brothers Soilo Jr., Joe, and Ray Fabela.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son David and wife Rebecca Pedroza of Artesia, New Mexico. His daughter Jessica and husband Peter Trevino of Silverton, Texas. His brothers Richard, Manuel and Gilbert Fabela and his grandchildren Kayla Eid, Danielle and David “Bubba” Pedroza, Benjamin Trevino and Rylan Pedroza. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
