Monica Lorena DeHerrera was born July 23, 2001 in Dalhart Texas to Georgia DeHerrera and Joe Fuentes. She graduated from Caprock High School in 2019.
She was a dedicated hard working woman. Jalapeño Café was her favorite place to go eat with friends and family.
She was passionate about her daughter Elena and driven to be the best mother she could be. She was a supportive friend always willing to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed baking and cooking with her mother. Her favorite meal was tacos. She was really artistic when it came to putting on her makeup. She loved to try new looks on herself and all her friends. Monica was the backbone to her family, always bringing everyone together.
Monica is survived by her daughter Elena Tolbert, her mother Georgia DeHerrera, her father Joe Fuentes, her grandpa George DeHerrera, her sister Felisha Trujillo, her brothers Orlando Trujillo and his girlfriend Angela, Kevin DeHerrera, Steven Tello, her stepbrother James Fuentes, her nephew Dominic Trujillo, her nieces Alizae Trujillo, Sumayah Batts, Teagan DeHerrera, and Shanelle Fuentes
Monica is proceeded in death by her grandmother, Semonita Marquez.
To my daughter Elena,
“If I pass away unexpectedly, remind my daughter every time you see her how much I love her, and how I would do anything in this world for her. I love you, stinky booty butt.”
Viewing will take place Saturday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Funeral Home chapel at 3707 Wolflin Avenue.
Monica’s memorial will take place at Life Church at 8600 Canyon Drive after the viewing.
