Nancy Jeanette Daniels

Nancy Jeanette Daniels, 74, passed away on June 23, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. Born on June 5, 1950, in Mason, Texas, she was cherished by her family and community.

She had many talents and interests, including art, singing, and gardening, but cooking was what was celebrated the most. Jeanette used her love of cooking to make her home a warm and welcoming place, especially after church services where she loved to host.

Jeanette dedicated her life to loving others. She and David spent many years leading a youth group, and today over 30 years later, these kids would still tell you how mom’s love… and food impacted their life. She also served as a substitute teacher and Mother’s Day Out teacher at Trinity Fellowship.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Viola and William Keith.

She leaves behind an adoring family: her husband of almost 54 years, David Daniels; her children, Melissa Daniels, Stephanie and Jerrod Ramirez, David Lee Daniels and Twila Daniels, Tiffany Daniels and Jana Spone, and grandchildren, Laura, Nate, Josiah, Merci and Jeremiah.  She is also survived by her brothers, Larry Keith and wife, Tanna, and Daniel Keith and wife, Paulette.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2024, at San Jacinto Assembly of God Church, 400 N. Georgia St., Amarillo. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 E. Interstate 40, Amarillo.

Jeanette’s life and legacy will be celebrated and remembered for the countless lives she touched through her selfless acts, her leadership, and her unwavering faith.

I will always remember the love and care that Jeanette and David showed me when I first met them in youth group at Fairview Assembly of God! It was a rough time because my mom remarried when I was 9, and we fell out of church! They were so kind to me, even when the other youth were not! That was tough! And they had planned a ski trip one year, and I couldn’t afford to go, and they made it possible for me to go! I got to try skiing for the first and only time, and go tubing the next day! It was so much fun! And while the kids my sge were skiing, I was having more fun with them and the little kids, and I guess you could say that maybe that’s where I found my calling! They prayed for me, and they loved on me, and were just the most genuine couple I have ever known working with youth! I have a daughter and a son, and they are 16 and 21, respectively, and it is tough! I am so thankful to have been able to reach out to Jeanette a few months ago after finding her on Facebook, and tell her how much she and David have meant to me over the years! Jesus has you now, Jeanette!! Love you, and hope to see you one day when the good Lord calls me! 💜 Deanna

I very much saddens to say goodbye to a friend that has lasted for a life time.
Jeanette has always had a smile on her face and was always cheery.
Jeanette, you will be missed buy Not forgotten. I shall remember for the rest
    of my life.
Have fun in Heaven as I know you will.
    Your dear friend.

Jeanette was a sweet woman who cared for others even through out her illness. She showed Christ love. When my great-grand daughter was enduring chemo, Jeanette shared her courage and prayers. May God bless her memory.
