Carol Burks, 77, of Canyon passed away August 12, 2024.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 15, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave. Amarillo, Texas.

Carol never knew a stranger. She was so easy to talk to and enjoyed talking to everyone. She loved making crafts and often blessed family and friends with creations that she made.

Carol had an extensive loving family and had no qualms about changing favorites on a whim. There was never any doubt if she loved you. She always wanted to be the center of attention, so she would always try to make you laugh with her crazy sense of humor.  People were surprised at what came out of her mouth, because one never knew what she was going to say.

She met Paul Phillips over twenty years ago and they have been taking care of one another ever since. If you saw one, you saw both, because they were inseparable.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Pauline Tenorio.

She is survived by her husband Paul Phillips; her daughters, Mickey Adams and husband Billy, and DeDe Casler and husband Michael; grandchildren, David Adams and wife Kristen, Justin Herbig and Valerie Tafoya, Warren Herbig and Zach Parrott, Tyler Adams, Mystery Bishop and husband Austin Clapp, Maddie Critzer and Troy Barrios, Sean Bishop and wife Sarah, Dillon Casler and wife Karissa, and Shelby Casler; great-grandchildren, Theo, Thad, Jaxson, Karalina, Dixie, Tucker, Natalie, Elinor, Theo, Aliyah, and Kaden, as well as many extended family.
