Pauletta Carol Johnson

Pauletta Carol Johnson, 81, of Amarillo, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. She was born Monday, June 8, 1942, in Amarillo, to Paul and Viola (Walker) Brohlin.

She is remembered as an elegant woman, always glamorous and feminine. She always had nice things such as jewelry, clothes, home, and cars. Her home was always immaculate, with everything placed strategically. Pauletta was a fantastic cook. She loved to decorate her home for the holidays.

Family and Faith were always of most importance to her. She loved Jesus and always prayed for her family, including her church family. She was a caregiver. Pauletta was a nanny for many years. The love and care she felt for children was always evident.

Her love language was gifts wrapped in beautiful paper and ribbons. Often, the gifts she gave were something she had created herself. It brought her joy to give these gifts to her friends. She enjoyed music and singing! She loved cherry limes and Guadalajara’s from Taco Villa!

She will be missed by family and friends alike.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Viola Brohlin, and one brother, David Brohlin.

Pauletta’s survivors include two sons Donald Miller his wife Whitney, and Dean Miller; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, and two sisters.

A Memorial Service celebrating Pauletta’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5005 W. Interstate 40, Amarillo, 79106.

    thank you for allowing me to care for your mom over the past 4-5 years. i grew to love her like she was my own mother and will miss our late night talks and snacks tremendously. it was an honor to know such a wonderful woman.
