Pioquinto “Quinto” Solis Zamora, 77, of Amarillo, passed away on January 30, 2025. He was born April 6, 1947, in Karnes County, Texas to Pedro and Petra (Solis) Zamora

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 8, 2025, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo.

Quinto loved family gatherings, dancing, casinos, old western movies, and cooking on the grill. He made the best shrimp and special BBQ sauce. He had a great sense of humor and could easily joke with anyone and make them laugh. He also loved driving his 18-wheeler across the country. He was always on the go and happiest on the road. He will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Mary Jane Zamora Miracle, and a brother Ines Zamora.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Beth Bratton and husband Allen of Leonard, Texas, and Barbara Martinez and husband Lee of Amarillo; grandchildren Alyssa, Caleb, Justin, Logan and fiancée Julianne, Olivia, Alayna, and Eli; his brothers, Pete Zamora and wife Donna of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Jose Zamora and Josie Quintana of Dumas, Texas, Jesse Zamora of Amarillo, and Richard Zamora and wife Lia of Amarillo; sisters Eva Renteria and husband David of Amarillo, Bea Renteria and husband John of Canyon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
