Roberto Mendoza, de 80 años, de Amarillo, falleció rodeado de su familia el 2 de diciembre de 2025. Nació en México el 5 de febrero de 1945.

Toda su vida estuvo dedicada a su esposa, Josefina, y a sus hijas, nietos y bisnietos.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Carlos Mendoza y Martina Rivera; su hijo, Beto Mendoza; su nieto, Rogelio Guerrero; sus hermanos, Manuel Mendoza, Bonifacio Mendoza y Carlos Mendoza; y su hermana, Socorro Mendoza.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Josefina; sus hijas, Armida Mendoza y su esposo Robert Gonsalez, Hilda Mendoza, Patricia Mendoza y su esposo Rudy Rivera, y Nidia Mendoza y su esposo Vidal Ramos; diez nietos y nueve bisnietos.

Se rezará un Rosario a las 6:00 p.m. del jueves 4 de diciembre de 2025 en Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, Texas. Se celebrará una Misa de Funeral Cristiano a las 10:00 a.m. del viernes 5 de diciembre en la Iglesia Católica San Lorenzo, 2300 N. Spring Street, Amarillo. El entierro se llevará a cabo luego en el Cementerio Llano East, Amarillo.

Roberto Mendoza, 80, of Amarillo, passed away surrounded by his family on December 2, 2025.  He was born in Mexico on February 5, 1945.

His entire existence was for his wife, Josefina, and their daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Mendoza and Martina Rivera; his son, Beto Mendoza; his grandson, Rogelio Guerrero; his brothers, Manuel Mendoza, Bonifacio Mendoza, and Carlos Mendoza; and his sister, Socorro Mendoza.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Josefina; his daughters, Armida Mendoza and husband Robert Gonsalez, Hilda Mendoza, Patricia Mendoza and husband Rudy Rivera, and Nidia Mendoza and husband Vidal Ramos; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, Texas.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 2300 N. Spring Street, Amarillo.  Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery East, Amarillo.
