It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Kamm Walls, fondly known as Ron, who left us on December 6, 2025, at the age of 88. Born in Upper Darby Township, Pennsylvania on October 24, 1937, Ronald’s life journey eventually led him to Tulia, Texas, where he spent 40 gratifying years. As William Shakespeare once said, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances.” Ronald indeed played many roles throughout his life, each with dedication, kindness, and a unique flair that made him the beloved individual that he was.

Ronald was a man of many talents and interests, a lifelong learner, and a dedicated worker. His time in the Army saw him receive two years of Veterinary School. He further pursued his education, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Arlington UT. Ronald’s professional journey was as diverse as it was rewarding. He retired as a USDA Warehouse Examiner after 20 years of service, after which he worked independently for various CPA firms, banks, grain companies, cotton oil mills, and feedlots. His work in agriculture, particularly as a Grain Inspector, allowed him to contribute to the community he loved. He was an exemplary worker, mentor, and friend.

Aside from his professional accomplishments, Ronald was a vibrant and adventurous spirit who embraced life with enthusiasm. He was a rodeo enthusiast, riding broncs and team roping. His love for animals was known by all who knew him, particularly his horses, dogs, and cats. Ronald was a life member of The Professional Cowboys Association and The Elks Carlsbad, NM No. 1558. On May 9, 1998, he married the love of his life, Susan Elaine Walls (Denson), who preceded him in death on November 14, 2025. Ronald’s love and memories are carried forward by his step-daughter, Charla Walker, and her husband, William, of Carlsbad, NM.

It was Emerson who said, “It is not length of life, but depth of life.” Ronald’s life was indeed deep, full of love, adventure, and service, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
