Samuel “Sam” Rivas a beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 55 in Amarillo Texas. Sam was born July 6, 1969, to Alejandro M. Rivas and Prudencia Salas Rivas in Phoenix Arizona.
Sam had an enthusiasm for life. He had gone to school to become a hair stylist. He truly enjoyed styling hair and making people feel good with their new look. He also loved hanging out with his family and friends.
He is survived by three sisters and one brother, Rosa Vega and husband Frank V., Dolores Gonzales and husband Frank G., “Baby Sister” Irene Rivas and brother, Alejandro Rivas, Jr.
Sam will be missed by his nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. We will always remember his great smile and the love he shared with others. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
A memorial service “Celebration of Life” will be planned at a later date.

I am heartbroken to hear about Sam’s passing. Sam was a wonderful person and a true friend. His kindness, laughter, and spirit will always be remembered.
