Senaido Tena Sr., 66, of Hereford passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Amarillo. He was born in Mexico June 5, 1956.
There will be a viewing/visitation from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2023 in the Lighthouse Funeral Chapel, 3707 Wolflin Ave. in Amarillo. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the Lighthouse Funeral Chapel, 3707 Wolflin Ave. in Amarillo.
Senaido was a hard-working man. In his youth, he worked as a cowboy. When they were young, he taught his sons how to break a horse, and how to train them.
He became a truck driver at the age of 40. By his example, both of his sons became truck drivers. He loved his boys. He liked to take them fishing, horse riding and shooting guns.
Senaido loved his grandkids. He had a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand. Senaido was a big jokester and couldn’t be taken seriously. He delighted in making people laugh.
A treasured memory is that he always gave his sons his blessing whenever they would leave his presence. Senaido was deeply loved by his family and will be truly missed by many. He is gone but never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Manuela Mediano Tena; his sisters, Antonia Tena-Mediano and Patricia Tena-Mediano; a brother, Monserrat Tena-Mediano, and a grandson, Mason Tena.
Survivors include Estella Soto; a brother, Juan Ramon Tena-Mediano; three sisters, Alejandrina Tena-Mediano, Apolonia Tena-Mediano, Maria Lidia Mediano; two sons, Senaido Tena, Jr. and his girlfriend, Norma Pinon and Mark Tena; stepdaughter, Cassandra Sabedra and husband Joe Alvarez, and grandchildren, Ahisa, Analia, Aaliya, Adrian, Senaido Angel, and Amiraa, Alexia, Audrina, Ayden, and Ariella.
He was a great father to my primos and a hard working man RIH
I met Senaido several years ago through my cousin Estella
in the short time i knew him he was an honest hardworking man and friend May he rest in peace ?
