Sharon Aikens, 72, of Amarillo, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 24, 2022, in Amarillo.
Memorial Services will be held at Christian Heritage Church 900 S. Nelson on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
Sharon was born July 22, 1949, in Albuquerque. Sharon was loved by many. She dedicated 24 years of life to Food Service at AISD where she retired. She was Mamma Sharon to many including her extra son, Jeremy Helm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sheckells; son, Stephen Aikens; grandson, Johnathan Aikens and parents, Phil and Mary Kayser; birth mother, Doris Kayser, and three brothers, Merle, David and Alvin Kayser.
Those left to cherish her memories are her sisters, Barbara Brumley and Rowena Sherman and husband Steve; brother, Bert Kayser and wife Judy; several nieces and nephews, and many special beloved friends.
The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

You were the light in a dark world. Thank you for always being there when we needed you. God needed you more than we did. May your soul rest easy with him. Love you Momma!
Momma you were heart and my everything. You loved me and my children and grandbabies as they were your own. You filled us with love and family. You will do be missed forever. You will not ever be forgotten. Go be with our boys. Until I set y’all again I love you always
