Shawn Trevathan, 50, of Amarillo, passed away on August 31, 2025. He was born to Wilford and Dorothy Trevathan on December 21, 1974. He was raised by a stepfather Rodney Trevathan and Mother Dorothy Trevathan. Shawn graduated from Amarillo high in 1993.

Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. this Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Middle Point Community Fellowship Church, 6700 W. Rockwell Road, Amarillo, Texas.

He loved to ride bulls, dance, fish, hunt, and boat. Shawn was a truck driver by trade. Shawn had one son Colton Trevathan with Bambi Holland in 1999. Shawn married Vanessa Hodges, September 22, 2020, after they spent their time together seeing the world through the windshield at 75 miles an hour. Shawn left this world dearly loved.

Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marjorie Alstead, Bill and Ada Trevathan, and step grandpa, Garvin Long; his father, Wilford Trevathan; stepfather, Rodney Trevathan; sister, Deedee; brother, Mark Trevathan, and niece Brittney Wood, who he dearly loved.

He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Trevathan; son Colton Trevathan; mother, Dorothy Trevathan; sisters, Charlene Davis, and husband, Josh, and Debbie Griffin; brothers, Tim and Bill Trevathan; nephews Michael Wood, Cody Wood, Dawson Davis and wife, Kelsey, and great niece Briar Davis, and niece, Darby Davis.
