Skyler Smith, 20, of Amarillo, Texas was called to be home with Jesus on Sunday, December 29, 2024.

A Memorial Service to honor Skyler’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the LOFT Church, 4400 S. Georgia, under the direction of Lighthouse Funeral Home.

Skyler was born January 28, 2004, to Joshua Smith, Jenia Stewart, and Jerold Stewart in Amarillo, Texas. He was outgoing, charismatic, and a loving sibling. Growing up he was dedicated to football as a linebacker and also enjoyed wrestling and cub scouts. Skyler enjoyed spending his time going to Palo Duro Canyon to hike and camp. Fishing was a big part of his favorite pastime and was a great fisherman. As Skyler got older, he enjoyed the freedom of working on cars, riding motorcycles, and always wanted to travel.

Skyler was preceded in death by his grandpa, Ernest Hunter DeMoss.

Those left to cherish his memory are Jenia Stewart of Amarillo, Joshua Smith of Amarillo, Jerold and Krystal Stewart of Raton, New Mexico, Ashlie and Virgil Martinez of Amarillo; his siblings, Cayden, Charles, Hunter, J.J., Lawrence and Jacey; Pearl and Teresa, Jeremy and Kara, Jason and Brandi, Darl and Linda Landis, Rudy and Jeana Samora, and Dolton, Sirilo, and Xavier, all of Amarillo. Additionally, many friends and family are also left to cherish Skyler’s memory.
