With a heart full of love and laughter, Terry Clois Morgan, known to all as Terry, commenced his heavenly journey on January 17th, 2025. Born in Perryton, TX, USA, on February 6th, 1963, Terry lived most of his life in Amarillo, Texas, where he was well known for his empathetic nature, funny antics, generous spirit, and reliable character. As Mark Twain once penned, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started,” and Terry lived by this ethos. His love for life was infectious, and he made the most of every moment, whether it was a quiet day spent fishing by the lake or a lively family gathering.

A Memorial Service celebrating Terry’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Lighthouse Funeral Home Chapel, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, Texas.

Terry found his greatest joy in being a father to Alea, a brother to Sue and James, and an uncle to Johnny, Justin, Jerrod and great-uncle to Jaxon, Wyatt, and Jaiden. His love for his family, whether by blood or bond, was limitless and defined his life. To quote F. Scott Fitzgerald, “Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.” This sentiment was the fabric of Terry’s life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gayle Campbell, as well as Louis Sykora and Mark Caylor.  Terry is survived by Dana, Kelci, Cody, and Alea; also, by his siblings, Linda, Michael and Sue; a niece Misty, and great nephews, Jaxon, Wyatt, and Jaiden, and two great nieces, Camrye and Selika.

As we bid farewell to Terry, we remember a man who was as reliable as the sunrise, as generous as the rain, and as empathetic and funny as the best of friends.
