Tony Curtis Prescott, 63, passed away peacefully on Friday April 25, 2025, at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. He was born July 5, 1961, in Shamrock, Texas to Charles Prescott and Margie (Sanderson) Johnson. He had two years of college. His line of business was a jack of all trades from owning his own maintenance business, construction, CDL driver, to HVAC services.

He was so loved and spoiled by both his parents. He was his mom’s baby, but she would set him straight if he needed to be. He was his dad’s pride and joy. He wanted him to win at everything he did and was most always successful.

His joys in life were horses, boats, and playing golf with his friends: Ernie Collie and Loyd Hinkle.  He enjoyed driving a semi across the U.S and doing construction and HVAC. He also enjoyed taking trips to the mountains with his wife and friends. One of his most fond memories was flying planes with Darren. He was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan.

As a young boy Tony rode horses, and he was hard to beat at any level of competition throughout his life. Tony and Tena grew up together, being only 13 months apart, but the last 18 months were the most important to them both.  There were lots of laughs, tears, and reminiscing about their childhood which was priceless.

His grandchildren were his pride and joy. To know Tony was to love Tony. He never met a stranger; he could spark up a conversation with anyone in his path. But above all else he loved his wife (AKA Sweetie) and The Lord God his Savior. Tony treasured his relationship he had with Christ, he never shied away from sharing his faith with those around him. He will be forever loved and missed by the ones he was closest to.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Prescott and Margie Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Pam Green; his sister Tena Scott and partner Mike Fletcher; his children Sara Klein  and husband John, Monica Cossey and spouse Gregg, and Jimmy Cowper; his niece Amy  VanCleave and husband Jeremy; great-nephew Quincey Wood; grandchildren Mason and Lincoln Klein, Brittany Cartrite and spouse Braiden, Katelyn Jacobs and spouse Jace, Alyssa and Ashlyn Watson; great-grandchildren Bailer, Bennett, Braidee, and Bragg Cartrite, Jaxtyn and  Judd Jacobs. He is also survived by his stepdad, Dick Johnson; a special uncle, JB Sanderson, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, stepsiblings, and extended family.

A Celebration of Tony’s Life will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at His Church, 6300 Arden Road, Amarillo, Texas 79109.
