Tyre Ray Salter

Tyre Ray Salter, 36, passed away on August 4, 2021.

Ty was an incredibly brilliant, handsome, and complex young man with a passion for world religions, philosophy, politics, and humanity. He loved a spirited debate, always respecting other’s opinions and differences with tolerance and intrigue. He also had a deep love for good music and was often jamming out to the likes of “The Who” or “Travis Scott.”

Despite his own ongoing struggle to find his place in this crazy world, he was always ready with a friendly smile, quick wit and fun spirit that could light up a room. Ty always looked for the good in everything and everyone. He freely gave honest, loving advice for those who felt scared and alone.  He will be greatly missed by many.

Survivors include his mother, Donna Mathis Salter; his sister, Shanae Nicole Salter; nephews, Coda Salter, Bentley Vargas, Aston Vargas; his niece, Akailah Clendennen; his beloved dog and best friend, Sam. He is also survived by his aunt, Dana Pierson; her children, Kaylynn Miller and Kathy Carniero and their families; special family friend, John Jones, and long-time soul buddy, Brandi Gilbert.

The struggle is now over and you can rest easy.  All our love will transcend into the afterlife with you bringing you peace, and serenity.  Shine bright, my son.

The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date to release his ashes.

One of my dearest friends in life, the conversations we had always sparked thought. We shared a lot of good, bad and ugly. I cherish our friendship and I miss you always. Thank you for showing me multiverse, for thinking of me when you found some new theory, topic, or song ; for coming to me about the things in this world that perplexed you. For sharing things with me that were deep like oceans and as wide as the skies and for being someone I confided in, experienced life with. Over the years we always found our way back to being friends again, always coming right back to that closeness. I think about you all the time n I find peace in knowing that you are free. At one with everything and deep down that’s truly what you wanted. I hope you are reading every Acaicic record, and you have every answer to every question you ever fathomed. I hope that you are light and love and everything all at once. Thank you for being my friend for 22 years and giving me merories that will never leave. One day I’ll make good on the pinky promise….. Till we meet again and we’re both free… I fucking love you Tyre!!
