UV Henson age 96 of Tucumcari, New Mexico passed away on June 26, 2023, in Amarillo, Texas. He was born June 24, 1927, in Grady, New Mexico.

UV graduated from high school in Forrest, New Mexico, and was also a member of the Center Street United Methodist Church. In the year 1959, UV and his wife Mary Lou moved to Tucumcari, New Mexico and purchased a family farm. UV enjoyed working hard to be a good and successful farmer. He also loved going trout fishing with his brothers and sons. UV was a gifted athlete growing up and later competed in the Senior Olympics where he won several gold medals.

UV was preceded in death by his son Chris Allen Henson; daughter-in-law Fran Henson, and his brothers Eumont, Ulric and Udell Henson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Lou; his sons Jerry Henson and wife Katy, and Verl Henson; grandsons Schan Henson, Shane Henson, Randy Henson, Jeremy Henson; several step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and his good friends Martha, Liz, Paul and Franklin.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
