Valton Bundy was born January 25th, 1971, to Cleve R. Bundy and Barbara Francis (Tucker) Bundy. Valton went to be with Jesus on September 10, 2025. The youngest of five brothers, much of his early childhood was spent in Auburn, WA before the family moved to Maud, Ok. Valton often enjoyed spending time at his grandparents’ home in Mena, AR.

Valton spent the majority of his formative years in Oklahoma attending school in Maud and Boise City before ultimately settling in Texhoma where he graduated in 1989. He became a cornerstone member of the Red Devils Football Team greatly contributing to their perennial success.

Valton met Michele Lucas while attending Texhoma High School. They became High School Sweethearts and were inseparable ever since raising four daughters, one son and one grandson.

Valton attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University for a short time and in 1990 started delivering mail out of the United States Postal Service in Guymon, Ok.

Valton and Michele moved their family from the Texas/Oklahoma Panhandle to East Texas. He continued delivering mail throughout East Texas for the next twenty-four plus years. He then worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and after that Baker Hughes Petrolite.

Valton always had profound interest in Masonry in large part because of his father’s participation in the organization. In 1995 he petitioned the Grand Lodge of Texas. He was initiated April 15, 1995. Passed April 4, 1996, Raised August 20, 1996, and served as Worshipful Master of Chandler Masonic Lodge #993 from 2002-2003.

When Valton wasn’t providing for his family, you could often find him on the sidelines supporting his daughters, son, and grandchildren in cheerleading, volleyball, softball, baseball, basketball, gymnastics, twirling, band, martial arts, dance competitions and recitals.

Valton loved collecting coins, jewelry, firearms, shopping at pawn shops, vacationing with his family, going to the ocean, cooking steaks on the grill for family and friends, off-road ATV parks, watching movies, family and friend poker nights, and a occasional casino trip or two. (wink-wink)

Valton had a deep affinity for the Pittsburgh Steelers believing one day they would get their seventh Super Bowl win and watching the OU Sooners dominate the Texas Longhorns in the annual Red River Rivalry.

Most of all Valton will be remembered by his selfless love he had for his family, friends, animals and strangers alike. His easygoing demeanor and kindness had even people he just met to know he was true at heart and a genuine. His wisdom, long talks about Bible scripture and his belief in God with whoever could listen the longest and fun-loving spirit will be missed until the day we meet again.

Valton was adamant about not wanting to have a big funeral. A get-together with family and friends will be announced at a later date.

Valton was preceded in death by his parents Cleve Bundy, and Barbara Bundy; mother-in-law Carla Preston; brothers Vernon, Victor and Vaughn Bundy and two daughters Vivian and Kerina Bundy.

Survivors include his wife Michele Bundy; daughters Venesa Alvarez and husband Ricky, Valene Jordan and husband Nathan; son Josten Bundy and wife Joanna Garcia; grandson (who he raised like a son) Madden Martin and grandkids Slatyn and Savery Sebring, Kristen and Aymri Alvarez, RJ Macias, Keznee Bundy, Livia and Lathan Jordan; sister-in-law Lacey Alexander and husband Robert and their children Ashley, Stetsyn and Bentley, as well as many nieces and nephews, and longtime honorary best friend Wayne Mabry. He is also survived by his beloved companion (chihuahua) Jack.
