Vicki Lynn Johnston White Ivie, 75, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2026. She was born in Clovis, New Mexico, to Albert and Versie Johnston.
Vicki attended school in Portales, New Mexico, and at Eastern New Mexico University. She enjoyed cheerleading, acting, and dancing. Vicki also enjoyed collecting rocks, shopping, and spending time with family. She worked as an administrative assistant.
Vicki had two marriages and was preceded in death by both. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jamie Randolph White.
She is survived by her sisters, Janell Gressett, Sidney Boyce (Marion), and Clydene Blackwell (Melvin); brothers, Donald Johnston (Lynda), and Jimmy Gressett; one granddaughter, Megan Ashley White, and four great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Emmett, Yoseph, and Wa’Layla. Vicki is also survived by five nephews, three nieces, seven great-nieces, eight great-nephews, 11 great-great nephews, 8 great-great nieces, and numerous close family and friends.

My heartfelt condolences to Vicki’s family. Especially to her sister Janelle, who was so kind to reach out and let me know how my friend was doing. Vicki was one of my best friends when we both lived in Dallas. We had many years of good times and laughter. As it goes we went our separate ways. But she was never far from my thoughts. I will always remember her smile and free spirit. My she rest in peace now free from pain and struggle. And dance in heaven with her loving son. May her memory be a blessing.
Vicki and I were friends starting in grade school. Her Mother and mine were our Bluebird leaders together. I enjoyed visiting with her at school reunions. Although I haven’t visited with her in a while, she is forever in my thoughts.
