Whitney Leigh Clark, born March 27, 1974, went home to be with her Savior on December 30, 2025, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Whitney was a joy to all who knew her—full of life, creativity, and faith. She loved her family deeply and was especially proud of her role as Memaw to her beloved grandchildren, Olivia and Eli. Her greatest wish was to have more time making memories with those she loved, and her love will continue to surround them always.
Whitney is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Clark; her sons Jacob Clark, Zane Clark (wife Emilee), and Cody Clark; her cherished grandchildren Olivia and Eli; her loving mother, Deanna Miller; her sister April Wells (husband Scott); her brother Thom Scott (wife Tammy); along with many beloved nieces, nephews, a large extended family who loved her dearly, and a multitude of dear friends whose lives were brightened by her kindness, humor, and generous spirit.
A woman of strong faith, Whitney relied on her Savior for comfort and strength throughout her illness. She loved marching band and played the flute and piccolo, enjoyed crochet—creating intricate pieces for family and friends—and found joy in skating. She was proud of her work at K-Ran Drilling and treasured her work family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 2, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Canyon, Texas.
While her passing brings deep sadness, her family finds peace in knowing Whitney is now free from pain, restored, and rejoicing in the presence of her Savior.

I had classes with her at WTAMU. I just remember we would park next to each other and chat before our first class. I always loved her vibes. She is the most strongest, amazing lady I am forever grateful to have met!
She was the best catcher any girls softball team had and we were privileged to have her as our catcher. We love you, sweet girl.

I’m so sorry that I was out of town for the passing and services. Whitney and I were birthday twins. When we were in high school, and a reunion with friends afterwards, we celebrated. It was followed 2 days later with the Spears twins birthday. There is not a year in my life since high school that I have not thought about or talked to Whitney. She and her husband were so kind, and she had created a beautiful life. My only regret was not spending more time saying hello. She was a blessing to all who knew her.
Whitney was always friendly and kind. I loved her wit and humor. I liked her laughter that made you laugh,too. She was a caring lady who loved her family. She was a good mom. She found joy in seeing her boys and their accomplishments. We will miss her. May God comfort all of her family and friends.
Sweet Whitney, I’ve been thinking about you quite often lately. You were such a joy to care for and I will be forever grateful to have been one of your nurses and to have known you. Gary, it was so nice to have known you throughout her time with us as well. A sweet and loving couple. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers through these difficult times!
